What is a verified Page or profile?

• If you see a blue badge on a Page or profile, it means that Facebook confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for this public figure, media company or brand. Keep in mind that not all public figures, celebrities and brands on Facebook have blue badges.

So how do you get your page verified? 

First of all you need to make sure that your page is set up as a Local Business. To check this, head to the ‘About’ section of your page and look under the ‘Page Info’ tab.

If your page isn’t a Local Business, you can change it. (This feature is ONLY available for those pages set up as a Local Business. Make sure that this is the right choice for your page)!

Next:

1. Click ‘Settings’ at the top of your Page
2. From ‘General’, click ‘Page Verification’
3. Click ‘Verify this Page’, then click ‘Get Started’
4. Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business, your country and language
5. Click ‘Call Me Now’ to allow Facebook to call you with a verification code (or send them the documentation they request)
6. Enter the 4-digit verification code and click ‘Continue’
